Welcome to leisure cycling in the Belfast area

We are a local group of the Cyclists' Touring Club, which campaigns for and provides information and services to cyclists.  Our main activities are:

Sunday Rides

Weekly full day tours covering about 50 miles. The riders normally stop for a picnic lunch along the way.

Wednesday Wobbly Wheelers

often use trains to reach a wide variety of countryside at a more leisurely speed.  Cyclists of all ages are welcome, but it's cheaper if you qualify for free rail travel.

Saturday Rides

Usually these are faster bike rides, held about once a month.  Special events include a 300km six counties tour and a County Down coffee shop crawl.

Tourist Trials

These ardious rides cover a specified route are supported by our faster riders and a number of visiting cyclists.

Clubroom

Members and invited speakers share their experiences with slide shows and other events. Other social events include our Annual Dinner Dance and our Christmas lunch.

Tours

We hold Hostel Weekends to a variety of local youth hostels and longer tours, using guest houses, further afield.

Campaigning

we are represented by Victor Douglas on Northern Ireland Road Safety Council and by Cathy Francis on Northern Ireland Cycling Forum.
