Belfast leisure cycling
Welcome to leisure cycling in the Belfast areaWe are a local group of the Cyclists' Touring Club, which campaigns for and provides information and services to cyclists. Our main activities are:
Weekly full day tours covering about 50 miles. The riders normally stop for a picnic lunch along the way.
often use trains to reach a wide variety of countryside at a more leisurely speed. Cyclists of all ages are welcome, but it's cheaper if you qualify for free rail travel.
These rides are held about once a month and usually take advantage of the greater number of eating establishments open on a Saturday. One event of particular note consists of a tour County Down coffee shops.
We hold a number of special events during the year. These are listed in our runs list.
Members and invited speakers share their experiences with slide shows and other events. A highlight of our social calendar is our Christmas lunch held at Moun Ober, reached by a short but circuitous cycle route.
